Sunday post office Senior reporter Prince Mushawevato has filed a police report on death threats, social media attacks and close shave with the evil followers of Jah Prayzah.
The report was filed at the Police Post in Braeside after acts of aggression on the scribe, after social media characters Jah Prayzah accusing Mushawevato of unfairly directing his work.
Jah Prayzah reacted to the routine review of the Mushawevato album, in which the scribe presented his opinion on the recently released album of the singer "Chitubu".
"It hurts me that after putting in all the sweats (sic!) And sleepless nights for a product that most of you told me that you love so much, still some journalist who feels I owe him some of my fruit, thinks that It's worth downloading the same project and is hoping to influence the whole world, dislike my album, "read a fragment of Yah Prayzah's response to criticism, drawing his" cybernetic army "into a frenzy.
Twice a Sunday, Mushawevato had to escape physical violence from followers of Jah Prayzah.
The first event took place in the Braeside shopping center.
"I was almost hit by the blue Toyota Runx, initially I thought it was innocent, but what they later said frightened me. Quote one of them, he said."eh wang, I hope, wakanyora because toda kukusota the size of chaiyo inokwana. Ungatuke Jah iwe? (I hope you have the last will, because we are going to deal with you, who is to insult Jah?), "Mushawevato told.
They left before the stunned Mushawevato could recover and jot down the registration number of the car.
Then the abuse started on his Twitter and Facebook accounts. It is not the end.
Later on the day Mushawevato celebrated his usual weekend artistic events in and around Harare, he encountered a group of adventurers and a goalkeeper who tried to attack him came to help him.
"Isu taingoti pamwe majokes nekuti pane anowanzouya Prince. Izvo vapfanha ava vaizviti Team JP vaida kumudya. Takatozopindira zvaipa (We thought they were just kidding, because Prince is regular here, we had no idea that those boys who called themselves Team JP they wanted to hurt him. "We had to intervene," said the goalkeeper.
Mushawevato said he did not understand how Jah Prayzah could make such accusations against him and inflame his fans.
"If you quickly review your stories online or go to the library, you'll notice that over 90 percent of the story we wrote about Jah Prayzah was to improve his career, but he decides to highlight several articles we criticize, not his colorful personal life, but music. This is unbelievable.
"As Sunday post reporters and journalists in general, should we only sing praise of Jah Prayzah? This shows that this guy is obsessed with bootlicks. Less than 10 percent of articles that did not strike his ego made him so angry that he put my life and career at risk, "said Mushawevato last week.
A review of the album published last Sunday did not attack the singer in person, but resided in his works.
"My relationship with Jah Prayzah has always been professional, I have not tried to make friends with him or his team, I have never asked for favors, I wonder why he would say" a journalist who feels I owe him some of my fruit. "Zimpapers is my fruit tree, I do not need other fruit, so I wonder where it comes from, "added Mushawevato.
