A group of oil workers from Pdvsa in Zulia indicated that the state-owned company is falling apart and is a reflection of the current crisis, CNN reported.
"Populism has finished all this: Do you see this? Nothing works anymore. The government has not done it completely," said Bertie, 48, referring to the oil infrastructure. Oil workers said the money that was meant to maintain the company's infrastructure had been lost.
Bertie, an oil worker for several years, said the company had fired a few days ago to talk about the fall of the oil company.
Retired workers have said they can not pay for the vital drugs they require, since the payment of pensions is equal to only five dollars a month.
Maracaibo is one of the most affected countries of the economic crisis and also with failures of the government.
