Several non-governmental organizations organized the 4th Meeting of Human Rights Defenders on 14 and 15 November. In connection with this, the final declaration of the event was published this Friday. They expressed that Venezuela is in a "democratic and institutional breakdown because the government has abolished the rule of law."
"(Government) is abusing power to intimidate, discriminate, control and punish populations that have destroyed many of the country's resources and resources, privatizes the public good, and generates a comprehensive humanitarian failure that has completely left the population," said the meeting letter.
Organizations have indicated in the communication that they will demand Venezuela to fulfill its obligations to effectively implement all human rights for the Venezuelan population.
