There will be active 6,500 vaccination sites in the country.
This week, the National Vaccination Campaign against Poliomyelitis in Venezuela starts to contribute to global eradication of the disease.
During the campaign, 3 million vaccines will be used, thanks to an agreement with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), recently announced Health Minister Carlos Alvarado.
He stressed that health teams will be deployed to cover the largest population along with social movements.
During this day, children between two and six years will be vaccinated for free.
A total of 6,500 points will be active for polio vaccination during the special day, which will be held this week, from July 14 to August 11, the health ministry announced in a press release.
