The last time the daily high was below 80 degrees was on March 27 when the high reached as high as 78 degrees – which, let's say honest, is still pretty warm.
Prior to this year, the NWS said, the previous longest sequence was 225 consecutive days in 1965.
The sequence will not last much longer
The record time is forecast to end this weekend due to the upcoming cold front.
Friday's high already exceeded 80 degrees, but the weekend is likely to reach temperatures by the mid-70s.
As the cold front passes, colder air will arrive, accompanied by rain, winds and the possibility of thunderstorms.
All the good things you would think must be done.
But in the end this is Key West. And as cold air evaporates from the region over the next few days, the models show that temperatures may reach 80 degrees again.
