Megan Markle has been a member of the royal family since May 2018, but is still making headlines. From the way Mark holds his newborn son, Archie Harrison, to speculations about whether he can be pregnant again, the tabloids always talk about the Duchess of Sussex.
One of the most persistent rumors about Mark is the idea that she does not get along with her daughter-in-law, Kate Middleton. Several critics of the royal family have even spoken, claiming that Middleton is jealous of Mark. Keep reading to find out why it doesn't seem likely that Duchess Kate will ever be jealous of Duchess Megan.
Kate Middleton has no more freedom like Megan Markle
It is certainly true that Middleton adheres to a stricter standard of conduct than does Markle. When Prince William becomes king, after his father, Prince Charles, Middleton is on his side, helping him rule and provide endless support. In addition, she has three young children to raise as she struggles with the many responsibilities that result from being so high in the royal family.
Mark, on the other hand, is married to Prince Harry, who will probably never be close to taking over the throne. She has much more freedom to act and do as she pleases. For example, she and Prince Harry have the opportunity to take a break from royal duties and keep family life well out of the spotlight.
Middleton is obliged to share many pictures of her children, including their baptisms and birth details. There is no doubt that their lives are incredibly different.
Megan Markle may occasionally bend royal rules
When marrying for the royal family, they are bound to follow a set of guidelines that the royal family has followed for decades. Although these rules are not law, it is well known that frequent violations of the rules can provoke the irritation of Queen Elizabeth II.
Over the past year or so, Duchess Megan has broken many of these rules, and while much has been done in the press, it doesn't seem like there have ever been any real consequences.
Duchess Kate, on the other hand, is not known to be a breach of the rules and she really does not have the ability to be. After all, she will be the queen for the next few decades, and she has high expectations for a ride on her shoulders.
The extent of Middleton's rules breaking heels and dresses over the knee (the queen is notorious for not being a fan either) has never been a true black mark on her royal record.
Kate Middleton is a favorite of people and the press
Despite all the restrictions she has to live with, and the greater freedom that Markle enjoys in her life, it is unlikely that Middleton was ever jealous of Markle. For one thing, she enjoys a happy, healthy family life and seems to be progressing in the role of wife and mother.
The second reason Middleton is not jealous of her daughter-in-law has to do with press treatment. It's no secret that Mark is accused by the press of being in the headlines almost daily, with negative stories providing the bulk of the coverage.
Middleton, on the other hand, is loved by the public as well as the press, and rarely suffers from bad publicity. While she was criticized at one point before her marriage to Prince William, those days were long gone, and she is one of the most beloved members of the royal family.
