You may know actress Rachel Brosnanhan for her stylistic role The lovely Mrs. Meessel. But perhaps the less familiar fact is that Brosnahan has a good taste in her DNA. She is the granddaughter of designer Kate Spid, who tragically took her life last summer.
The family was an important part of Spade's business. In 2016, she is the founder of the accessory label called Francis Valentine with her husband, Andy Spade and her best friend, Ellis Arons. Upon her passing, the two decided that Brosnahan would be the appropriate person for the campaign spring 2019 of the brand.
"After the adoption of Cathy, my family and I were so defeated and encouraged by the love and support we received from those who were touched by the work of Cathy, many of whom were foreigners from all over the world," Brosnanhan told People magazine in interview. "When you lose someone you want, you are looking for unlimited ways to keep their memory alive. [campaign] I felt like a way to do it through her wonderful creations and the opportunity to share with all those for whom her work meant so much. "
Kate Spid was reportedly a fan Ms. Maisel, so much to name the Francis Valentine's purse in the character of Brossnan, "Midge."
