Spotify adds a long-awaited feature to its Premium Family plan, the ability to filter explicit content. The updated Spotify Premium family plan now offers on-demand access to 450,000 podcast titles and more than 50 million ad-free music tracks.
In addition, Spotify announced that parents can now control the placement of an explicit content filter on all other accounts on their plan. The music streaming company has confirmed that the update is already available in Ireland and will appear in all Premium Family markets this fall.
Spotify's Premium Family Plan provides six individual accounts for family members living under one roof, meaning you must keep your saved music and playlists.
Another new add-on to the Premium Family plan is the option to manage family settings in one place, including adding or removing family members, updating your home address and adjusting parental controls.
Families also get exclusive access to a personalized playlist that includes songs that other family members can enjoy. The feature is called Family Mix and is updated regularly and allows parents to control who is in each session.
If you are already a Premium Family user but are not located in Ireland, you will be notified as soon as the updated Family Plan is available in the coming months.
