The European Space Agency (ESA) has teamed up with NASA for the first planetary defense operation in the world, aimed at studying the effect of a small rock collapse called "Didimun" orbiting the asteroid called Didimos A.

Aida's joint mission, which seeks to assess the impact of an asteroid and defect, is made up of the Dasa spacecraft for dual asteroid redirection (DART), which will land on the small satellite and the ESA Hera mission which will then study the impact.
