The best way to make sure you get well old through food choices is to get a Mediterranean diet. It is well documented that the cuisines of Spain, Italy, Greece, and the south of France are good for us, down to the oils, spices, color and – best of all – the variety they offer.
It's not about "discouraged" clean food. In fact, the Mediterranean diet also contains red wine.
But a diet containing healthy oils, lean meats and an abundance of colorful fruits and vegetables has proven to be very good for the cardiovascular system. And when your heart is healthy, you are more mobile, which improves fitness. The diet also contains oils that benefit the health of the joints and nourish nutrients that will keep the skin glowing.

The main problem with the average diet in the UK is that we do not eat enough colorful food.
