"The message is that the club is working on different players and the possibility, if that can be good for us," said Unai Emery earlier this week. "We see two different players and the opportunity they come in. If they do not come to help us as we like, I prefer not to come."

It remains to be seen just what these two "possibilities" are. It seems that Dennis Suarez is one, though Barcelona has accused Arsenal about the apparent termination of the negotiations.

"Independent," saying Barca's "position" over the midfielder "has softened". BBC Sport David Ornstein reports that a loan agreement with a summer purchasing option is "close".

"Gunners remain in negotiations for signing a wide player," Ornstein added. Internacional of Inter in Inter Ivan Perisic is among the options that are being implemented, with the Belgian wing Janik Karasko of the Chinese club Dalian Yifang who was connected.

The Karaskos link is interesting, given that it is hardly mentioned. A favorite Belgian journalist has little insight:

"Despite many injuries, Arsenal is unlikely to strengthen the defense," Ornstein writes. But they could step up the middle row. Sky Sports claim that Arsenal, Newcastle and West Ham "have been asked" for a potential transfer to Yuri Thilemans on a loan from Monaco, and Tottenham was also interested. However, it seems unlikely that Leicester will win that race, which will result in an agreement on a deal with Eric Silva.

The other central midfielder of Arsenal is, surprisingly, Idris Gue. Sky Sports say that the Gunners and Manchester City are "interested" in the Everton star who, submitted a transfer request on Tuesday.

Everton is adamant that "Gueye" is not for sale, and rejected a £ 21.5 million offer from PSG. Daily Mail claims Tofei appreciates international Senegal at around 40 million pounds.

Arsenal are also on the market for the sixth player. It's not bad for one side without money.

The agent of the diversified PSG player, Christopher Nkunku, appeared on French television last night and discussed links his client with Arsenal.

It was reported that the Gunners identified the 21-year-old as an ideal player who could fill several positions and worked with Emery earlier in Paris.

But Jose Pierre Fanfan has bad news. He says that while "things can happen in the last 48 hours," it "does not look good".

What's more, get French football news that Arsenal's hopes of signing Nunku depend on PSG, entering the second central midfielder after the arrival of Leandro Paredes. It's all a bit complicated.

Arsenal will only have to do with one or two of the other five players they want.

Borussia Dortmund and Juventus are interested in signing Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen, but Blues wants to pay a £ 6m loan to the 22-year-old … Everton has dismissed Milan's interest in striker Ademola Poible, but the Italian club can return with a formal offer for the 21-year-old … Southampton talks to Olympiakos over contract for Norwegian defender Omar Elbabeloui, 27 … Benfica's teenage defender, Messake Jou, 19, should join West Ham on a free transfer … Real Madrid is targeted for a 21- year-old Eintracht Frankfurt's Luca Jovic, who is on loan from Benfica, as a longtime successor to France, ahead of Karim Benzema … Brother Por Por, Florentine, 28, should join Atlanta United at MLS and continue his career under Frank de Boer.
