Many of the legacy titles previously promised as part of Stadia's "launch window" are not currently included in Google's list of 2019 Stadia releases. These include:
Major publishers Capcom and EA are also absent from Stadium's current 2019 lineup, though both have been listed as participants in Stadium's "launch window" recently in August. Google has not yet responded to a request for comment on those omissions. [Update: A Google spokesperson told Ars that “‘launch window’ conveyed the first few months after launch. What we announced today was the first 6 weeks.”]
The few other unreleased titles that were promised for the Stadium launcher window were simply postponed to 2020. These include:
Of the 26 titles planned for Stadio's release this year, the Tequila Horror Game is in the works Gilt is the only one that will not be available on other platforms at the same time (although Google has an in-house development studio working on more exclusives in the coming months and years). Darksiders: Being should start simultaneously on PC and Stadium on December 5th.
Looking at the 24 remaining Stadia games in 2019, 15 were first released on other platforms sometime in 2019, and another five were released in 2018. The list of releases for 2018 are included Agricultural simulator 19, though the updated franchise version of "2020" is due to appear on other platforms on December 3. And while Football Manager 2020 will launch on other platforms on November 19, developer Sports Interactive says the Stadia version will offer "the fastest way to experience Football Manager » thanks to Google's cloud data centers.
At launch, Stadia is only available through a $ 130 package purchase that includes a Stadia controller and a Chromecast Ultra for a TV game. A free level, which does not require a special hardware purchase or a $ 10 / month Stadia Pro subscription, is planned for next year.
