Opel announces the launch of an update of its lineup, which in the next two years should receive eight new and updated cars, and the first will be an electric Corsa EV and a hybrid crossover Grandland X PHEV, writes Chronicle.info, referring to Avtodream
eCorsa will keep the same concept of a small car, but probably after passing under the leadership of the French PSA group will receive the same platform as Peugeot 208.
It is expected that these two machines will also receive many common parts to minimize the cost of the product.
On the other hand, the Grandland X crossover will be the first hybrid charger in the Opel offer. Its appearance is expected in 2019, and he will probably gain the same power as Peugeot 3008 Hybrid 4, presented at the October Motor Show in Paris.
We're talking about a 1.6-liter gasoline engine that works in tandem with two electric motors with a total power of 296 hp. One of the electrical installations will move the rear-wheel drive and the other will be installed on the front axle. The engine must work with an 8-speed automatic.
In this configuration the Peugeot 3008 will be able to accelerate to 100 km / h in 6.5 seconds, and its 13.2 kW battery will help the car to travel up to 50 kilometers only by means of electricity.
