The petitioner believes that minibuses can not cope with passenger traffic in the city
On Sunday, November 18, the request to ban minibuses in Kharkov and replace them with city buses and trolleybuses won five thousand votes needed by the city authorities to consider this issue.
The petitioner, Dmitry Nikolenko, thinks that minibuses are "an extremely inefficient, uncomfortable and uncontrollable mode of transport".
"Modern Kharkiv taxis can not cope with passenger traffic: they are constantly over-standard, the compartments are very large and poorly controlled throughout the day, passenger traffic is not recorded at all (because tickets are not generally sold and it is not clear on which level of travel fee) The technical condition of minibuses leaves much to be desired "- writes the petitioner.
