The second edition of the Industrial Cooperation and Supply Chain Conference organized by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), represented by the Sharjah Export Development Center (SCCI), is held under the patronage of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Sharjah deputy ruler.
The conference, hosted by the Chamber, will discuss future industrial areas and ways of developing the industrial sector and will accelerate the rate of product supply, taking advantage of rapid digital transformation in line with Sharjah's ambitious economic vision and strategy for diversifying sources of income and industrial development. These two-year events will discuss challenges and opportunities in the production and trade sectors and create a platform for gathering business leaders and experts in the industrial and export sectors to discuss ways to develop production processes in local and national enterprises and industrial institutions, and exchange views, proposals and best practices. In addition to exploring the possibilities of allowing industrial companies in Sharjah and the United Arab Emirates to become a supplier of products and services to original equipment manufacturers in the UAE and around the world.
The conference will take place with the participation of a number of government institutions and entities dealing in the industrial sector and supply chains in the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate, as well as a number of directors and experts in the largest private sector companies from the UAE.
The conference focuses on the opportunities and challenges of industrial cooperation to build the potential of local producers and enable them to provide basic OEM components and services both domestically and abroad, especially in the fields of defense, aviation, industrial space, etc. The conference also highlights the need raising awareness about the importance of preparing professional business leaders. The Chairman of the Chamber pointed out that the participation of many managers of international bodies and companies operating in the industry of industrial production in conference events will be a qualitative addition to the event, which will contribute to identifying the best international practices in the interests of employees in these sectors and the service of the local business community.
Al Owais noted that the conference is witnessing the introduction of new recommendations at the end of work that will improve the performance of the local industrial sector in the Sharjah Emirate through sustainable work on modernizing the mechanisms, techniques and means of increasing industrial production and developing it in line with the fourth industrial revolution.
