Abu Dhabi Securities recently hosted a delegation from the French business group in Abu Dhabi.
During the visit, attended by senior managerial members of the Group and the financial market, the operational frameworks, the future vision and investment opportunities in the securities market in Abu Dhabi were reviewed, according to the OAU news agency, VAM.
The number of French investors on the market by the end of 2018 around 487 investors, including 34 investment institutions and the total value of their trade in sales and purchases during 2018 at about 45 million dirhams.
Net foreign investment in the securities market in Abu Dhabi during the first quarter of 2019 reached 1.3 billion AED compared to AED 321 million in the same period of 2018, an increase of 294%.
On the other hand, net institutional investment in the market increased by 13.2% during the first quarter of 2019 with a net investment of 802 million AED compared to AED 708 million in the same period of 2018.
During the first quarter of 2019, the value traded on the market was 12 billion AED compared to 9 billion AED in the same period of 2018, an increase of 32.5%.
By the end of 2018, the value of their shares exceeded 120 million AED compared to AED 94 million at the end of 2017, an increase of around 29%.
