The marble campaign “All the Stars” Migros lasts from November 3, 2020. The promotion lasts until Christmas Eve and means that each customer receives one marble for each purchase of 20 CHF.
But what has angered many customers now is the special campaign on Saturday, December 5, where on that day you could only get certain special marbles. As a result, various customers made purchases for several hundred Swiss francs that day. One of them is Steinbacher Rachel Hochuli, who bought 300 francs and still got only one of the desired marbles, as he said for “20 minutes” opposite.
Cashier Migros justified this by stating that there were not enough marbles in stock. “If they say I get a marble for every 20 francs, and end up alone with one, it’s close to a scam for me,” Rachel Hoculi said.
The Migros campaign has also been sharply criticized on Twitter. Many customers would make extra large purchases on this day in order to get as many special marbles as possible.
@migros Great marble disappointment from our 3.5 year old. . Once, my husband threw himself into the noise (many people probably had the same thing in mind) and only 1 special marble for his purchase. 😢 # мурмелфан

@migros With today’s special marbles, isn’t it like getting one for every 20.-? I understand it this way instead of orange Today specifically? It is not OK? For my purchase over 100.- I received only 1 bag of special orange for the holiday. Thanks for the clarification! #marmelmania

Migros apologizes for the action
Asked by 20 Minutes, Migros spokesman Marcel Schlatter wrote: “Migros was simply surprised by the demand. “The special marbles disappeared like hot veggies, so we simply did not have enough of them.”
And you understand the nervousness of the customers. But you also do not want customers to go empty-handed. Those who have not received any of the special marbles can submit their receipts by e-mail.
“Migros is trying to provide an equivalent replacement. “We are doing everything we can to process this as quickly as possible,” Schlatter told 20 Minutes.
There should be another opportunity to get special marbles on December 23rd.
