Manufacturers of Xbox and PlayStation games consoles want to collaborate on streaming and AI.
Manufacturers of the Xbox and PlayStation games console have entered into a strategic partnership, according to Die Presse. "The agreement mainly strengthens Microsoft's cloud business Azure for Internet-based applications, as Sony wants to streamline its games and media content," the online portal said.
Microsoft and Sony announced on Thursday that the two companies will develop new innovations to improve the user experience for their entertainment platforms and AI solutions.
"Microsoft is an important business partner for us for many years, but, of course, the two companies are competing in some areas," said Sony CEO Kenichiro Yoshida. He hopes that the use of cutting edge ecology by both companies "will result in a mutually complementary way of creating new value for society," continues Yoshida.
