Two horses in the Trakul Valley of Gotland were diagnosed with EWV-4 by veterinarian Victoria Spor. It now comes out with information to reduce the risk of spreading.
A week ago, Victoria Spor discovered that a horse in Träkumla suffered from the EHV virus and when another horse fell a few days later, it was decided to isolate stability.
It is important to note, however, that this is not a dangerous neurological variant of EHV-1, which affected the Stockholm area earlier this year. EHV-4 gives the most cold symptoms, but if pregnant mares are infected, they can throw the draw.
– The reason why this was discovered early was carefully the owners of animals who took the pace of their horse, says Victoria Spore to "All Gotland".
