The German television station VOX compared its Tesla Model S P100D and Porsche Taycan Turbo S. in its engine program. Within the brief part we have the opportunity to see the tow test and maneuver test.
So we finally got the first direct comparison of high-end electric vehicles – the Tesla Model S and the Porsche Taycan. Although only within just a short haircut. We have the opportunity to see the duel of the seemingly most powerful versions of these models.
However, the Tesla electric car brand, as well as commentary from the Car Benchmarks channel that posted the video, confirm that it is an older version of the most powerful Model S in 2016, the P100D. In 2019 not only this variant (Model S Performance) was renamed, but the (Raven) power (improved efficiency) and chassis improvements were improved in all variants of the model.

Drag a race
The short video of the catching trailer shows that the Model S is better than the initial acceleration but will then be dominated by Taichan, probably because it is equipped with a 2-speed gearbox. .
In the video we have the opportunity to see a comparison of electric cars Tesla Model S and Porsche Taycan in a test that looks like so called. "The Elk Test". It seems that, in the present case, it is intended to show how both vehicles are in terms of maneuverability. Under the given conditions, the Taikan model dominates this test, which can handle a dedicated road of 97 km / h, while the Model S cannot maintain a specific track at 90 km / h.
It was assumed that Porsche Taichan would be better at maneuvering. However, the drag race raises questions. Tesla should be slightly faster than 0 to 100 km / h, so the length of the track is also important in this regard. Tires (also in elk test), respect. their ability under humid conditions. Both vehicles should be fitted with factory tires.
However, we will be curious about the whole video as well as other comparisons, e.g. under "dry" conditions and using the latest, most powerful variant of the Tesly S. We are also curious about how to design the more powerful Model S "Plaid" with 3 electric motors. However, we certainly do not want to question the possibilities of the Taichan, which seems to be a really great Porsche sports car.
