Slovak hockey players lost to Russians 1: 2 in the final match on Tuesday at the 29th World Winter Universiade (SZU) in Krasnoyarsk, Russia, and had to meet with silver medals.

Domestic players had the upper hand from the start of the match, but they made the first goal of their abusive efforts in the 36th minute when Maxim Jioshvili assumed office. Although Slovenian students at the Slovak faculty, who quickly managed the successful combination, ended with Sebastian Smid but in the final act did not oppose the pressure of the opponent. The excellent goalkeeper Matthew Tomek was beaten by Dmitry Kolgottin after the individual action and secured the Russians the third hockey gold in the series.
Slovak hockey players have already won the sixth medal in the autonomy of universities. In 2001, they enjoyed historical gold, won silver three times (1999, 2003 and 2019) and twice bronze (1993 and 2009). For Slovakia, the hockey tournament is the only silver medal from the SZU in Krasnoyarsk.
