We always emphasize the importance of social media during San Diego Comic-Con – it's a way to stay connected, to find out when your favorite booth makes random rains and more. But outside of social media like Twitter and Facebook, there are some mobile applications that can make your life much easier during the SDCC. Well, let's take a look.
1. Official Comic-Con International Application
If you have not downloaded this yet, you really should. It's not the greatest technologically advanced application you've ever seen, but it's lightyears before where it was – and it's incredibly useful. There is a schedule for all five days, and you can search, click to read the descriptions of the entire panel, and more. Plus, there is a list of exhibitors (when you click, shows you exactly where they are on the floor map!), Maps, some details about off-sites and more.
2. Compass Cloud – Metropolitan Transit System App
We've been writing about this very useful app for the other week, but if you're planning to use the trickling system in San Diego for everyone to get closer, this is the way it is. The MTS offers not only discounts for participants during Comic-Con (unlimited usage of $ 5 a day), but there is also a map of all stops and information in real time.
If you are not at the helm of the Comic-Con shuttle or trolleybus, there is also UBER. They will take you many places where you want to go, to give you the price in advance (which is usually significantly cheaper than a taxi). This is also a great way to get to the Comic-Con museum, because there will be no shuttles this year.
