Counter Point Research released a report on the future of the wireless headphone industry – the bug. "The global market for genuine wireless headphones will reach 129 million copies by 2020," according to a new research company report.
The company attributes this growth to the great expectation of the new generation AirPods phones that are expected soon and will be aggressively promoted by Apple to offset the recent weak iPhone sales. At the same time, CPR expects Apple AirPods to sell about 35 million copies, which will be about 75% of the total wireless market.
It is expected to Samsung (which has just announced the Galaxy Buks), Bose, Jabra, Huawei, Bragi and LG will further increase the sales of these devices, and Google, Amazon and Plantronics should join this trend.
Smart assistants in this type of load carrying devices will further push the market forward, while at the same time polishing other useful features, such as hands-free operation, real-time translation, monitoring vital information about health.
Those who will benefit from the development of this part of the industry are manufacturers of lithium-ion batteries, as well as manufacturers of microphones, sensors, chips and small components for sound drivers.
