RTS :: Jovic: Everything depends on us; Veljkovic: Easier without Jovetic

Jovic finished the last weekend with two goals from Schalkeu (3: 0) in the first place of the Bundesliga scorer, scoring nine goals, ahead of aces such as Pako Alkaser, Marko Rojs (Borussia Dortmund), Robert Levandovski (Bayern) Timo Verner (Leipzig) and others.

"I feel great, I'm happy that I'm the best scorer in a strong league like Germany, but now I'm in the team and I focus only on the duties I have on the national team, that is for a minute," Jovic told reporters in Stara Pazova.

Jovic returns to team A for the first time after the World Cup in Russia, after he helped the young selection qualify for the European Championships.

"I'm happy that I came back because I think I won the club and I hope I will be here again in the future."

He believes that Serbia is better than Montenegro and that victory will not be wasted if he plays as he knows.

"Of course, we want six points from two games against Montenegro and Lithuania, it's quite normal … It all depends on us."

Great support is expected from Marakana in a duel with Montenegro, probably deciding on the first place in the group.

"I hope the fans will come as much as possible to support us because we really need it, especially because they are upholding the European Championship qualification." I'm glad I'm coming back to Marakana, said Jovic, adding that it's a pleasure to see the results of a home red star in the Champions League.

Stopper Miloš Veljković indicates that two wins are aimed at ending the group stage of the newly created competition.

"We have a good chance, but we have to enter with a lot of concentration, we will try to dominate even more against Montenegro, and if we play in this way, it will be good for all of us."

Serbia will be easier because in Belgrade there will not be Steva Jovetica because of injury.

"We all know that he is a good player who can change the situation at any moment, Montenegro and other players, and that means we have to be ready at all," said Veljkovic, adding that he is pleased that he is working with Nikola Milenkovic.

Serbia welcomes Montenegro on Saturday at Rajko Mitic Stadium, and three days later in Lithuania at the Partizan stadium.
