Business visits, work-dating, web conferences, exhibitions … this year, 4,770 events were marked as "industrial week" throughout France. Since its inception in 2011, the industry's week aims to put the French industry, its ecosystem and its innovations in value.
With the help of the Directorate-General for Enterprise (DGE), it manages the national level by the Ministry of Economy and Finance. It has been done in partnership with many companies and institutions such as Bpifrance and France Industrie. The edition of the Industrial Week in 2018 brought together about 360,000 participants from across the country.
French Phoebe Tour
60 dates have been programmed for the French Fab Tour. Days in the presence of actors of the French Fab ecosystem are organized throughout France. During these days, the morning is dedicated to a public school, with educational interventions. Lunch with employees or business leaders is possible, to prepare the afternoon "work-dating". In March, they will be organizing two days in Lyon (5 and 6), Clermont-Ferrand (11), Grenoble (14), Sochaux (19), Le Craiseau (21), Pitiwers (26) and Bourges (28)
The ephemeral factory "Smile Ile-de-France"
This ephemeral plant will be installed in the City of Science and Industry from March 22 to March 31, 2019. For young people this activity shows the various industrial phases of the design up to the production of the product. Employees will also present their work and will be available to discuss. The goal is to create occupations for young people. This event is organized by the Metallurgical Industries Group (GIM) and will be free of charge.
Agnes Pannier-Runacher, Secretary of State for Economy and Finance, will make a trip dedicated to "industrial re-conquest" in Dubs on March 19th. She will visit the PSA site in Sochaux and the site of Gillin, a company specializing in the production and marketing of thermoplastic plastic wrappers in Ornas.
The factory for the industry
This Think Tank dedicated to the industry offers several events. The seminar on robotics and operator autonomy was held in the Union of Metallurgical Industries and Crafts on March 21st. But also a round table for the transition to digital transitions in Centerveter, Paris, on March 18. The industry factory is also a partner of the InnovaTech Challenge. The selected teams throughout France must represent an innovative product or service related to the industry of the future. The final will be held on March 19th.
Industry of Arts and Crafts
The various art and craft campuses host several types of events. Conferences on topics like "What will be our work in the tomorrow's industry?" in Angers on March 18, will be held with stakeholders in the industry. The opening day is also organized on March 23 at the locations of Chalon-en-Champagne and Lille. Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Atos Charles Dehley and Francis Rosignol, maintenance, repair and repair manager at Safran, will speak in Bordeaux on the theme "The Fourth Industrial Revolution in Business." During this week, the school also communicates with a survey conducted by young people and industry whose numbers promise: 80% of high school students have a good opinion of the industry.
