Aqaba Authority publishes the Astronomical Observatory's Web Site at Jabal Umm Damy in the Room

Aqaba – The Abaaba Economic Zone Administration has published the Jabal Umm al-Damy / Wadi Rum Astronomy Observatory site, which has the link The site aims to familiarize the tourist with the sky and the planets at night in Wadi Rum or the day He intends to be there.

The official spokesman for the Department, Dr Abdulmahdi al-Katamine, said the site made it easy for tourists and visitors to the Rum area to identify the names of stars, celestial bodies, planets, and other planets, in addition to identifying the sunset and sunrise and the rise and the sunset on the moon, to follow them due to the nature of the region and will witness the Wadi Rum sky, such as meteorites, new comets, moon eclipses, solar eclipses, planetary approaches, and others.

Al-Katamain added that the website aims to promote Kingdom tourism in general and Wadi Rum in special tourism in preparation for spreading the concept of tourism astronomy tourism and adding this concept to the tourism product in Aqaba, adding that the Astronomical Observatory is one of the largest and newest and highest astronomical observatory in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and south of the Levant.
