affordability– The Basque government's public health ministry and addicts have confirmed that there is a case of measles in a young woman of 27 years old in Gipuzkoa, with whom until now seven have gathered in Euskadi. The case may be linked to a 41-year-old man who lives outside Euskadi, who on 9 April went to a health center in Gipuzkoa, where he was diagnosed with the disease.
The Basque Health Department suggested that, following the action protocol, it initiated "appropriate action to avoid new infections, apply isolation measures and start a contact study".
According to epidemiological data collected, apparently, this new case "can be linked to that of a 41-year-old man who lives outside Euskadi, who on 9 April went to a health center in Gipuskoa, where he was diagnosed with measles." The man had already been infected before traveling to Gipuzkoa.
In addition, the same sources reminded that so far this year they have already confirmed seven cases of measles in Euskadi, four in Bishkaya, two in Arabia and one in Gipuskoa.
The Basque Health Department said that "all persons who have not undergone the illness or who have not been adequately vaccinated are susceptible to bargaining if not properly vaccinated." In Euskadi, in particular, the measles vaccine is included in the immunization schedule in childhood and the coverage of the first dose of triple virus (measles-mumps-rubella) is 96.05% and 94.7% in the second dose. These matches are in line with indicators recommended by WHO. – E.P.
