Already after 66 seconds the first scoring of the match appeared. Nico Elvedi from the Swiss defense completely missed the crossover on his 16-meter subway. Thorgan Hazard caught the ball and placed 1: 0 without problems.
A quarter later Belgium made a counterattack, when Hazard scored the ball on the right. Borussia Mönchengladbach quickly attacked the ball and defeated colleagues from Gladbach, Elvedi and goalkeeper Yann Sommer in the longest corner from 16 meters.
At 2-0, the Belgians looked comfortable, but after 25 minutes it was playing the other way. The first of them was Ricardo Rodríguez, who easily passed the penalty for Thibaut Courtois.
The Swedes pressed high and after 39 minutes they were rewarded for the battle. Rodriguez slipped into the Liverpool player Xherdan Shaqiri, who was heading towards Haris Seferović. The attacker Benfica easily set the equalizer.
Two minutes before the break, the change was a fact. Edimilson Fernandes scored the ball on the right, he played 45 degrees to Seferovic, who set the ball in the longest corner. It was his 16th national team shooting in 59 games.
With the Swiss result he gained even more blood on his tooth, and his eyes counted on winning the group. One point to push Belgium away from the table. 61 minutes into the match, Shaqiri placed the lead from left to wrong, giving the hosts a lead. The score on 0-2 is indicative of 4-2.
Five minutes before the end, Seferovic became the big hero of the match when he nodded 5-2 and scored his first hat-trick in the national team's jersey.
