Rugby League: Former Warriors Props Quentin Pongya Dead at the age of 48

Pongya completed her career in 2004 in Wigan Warriors in the United Kingdom.

After his retirement from the professional rugby league, Pongia spent time with Indiana Jones: The Thieves as a member of the club coaching staff and recently worked for Manny as part of their training staff.

Reeder's coach and former team-mate Ricky Stewart said the club was deeply upset that he heard about his passing and noticed him not only as a rugby league but also as a wonderful man.

"From my personal relationship, and on behalf of the current gaming group, I would like to give my sincere condolences to Quentin's family in this difficult time," Stuart said.

"Like many other players who played with him, I have nothing but respect and a wonderful friendship with Quentin, and although I'm grieving to hear about the news, I am comforted to know that there is no pain now.

"Quentin is the toughest person I've ever played and I know how he struggled to overcome this terrible disease. He will be missed in the whole rugby league community."
