Auckland paint shop visited by suspected Covid-19 case

Suspected case

Suspected case “Covid-19” visited Resen Colorshop in the mountain Roskill on Friday, November 20, due to which the store was closed to clean and examine the staff.

Auckland Fence Colorshop is forced to close its doors and isolate itself after staff suspect it has visited Covid-19.

On Facebook, Resene advised that a person suspected of having Covid-19 visited the Mt Roskill store in Carre, between 11.45am and 12.15pm on Friday, November 20th.

On the advice of the Auckland Regional Public Health Service (ARPHS), employees were tested and self-isolated until they received a negative test result.

No staff in Resen showed any symptoms, the statement said.

Customers who visited the store at this time were considered to be at “very low risk” and did not need to be tested or self-isolated unless they developed symptoms, according to the ARPHS portal.

The store will be closed “in the next few days” and will be cleaned before reopening.

It comes after health officials said they were investigating the locations of an Air New Zealand crew member visiting Covid-19.

On Tuesday, the Ministry of Health advised everyone who went to the pet supply store “Animates Manukau” on Saturday, November 21, from 13.22 to 14.11, to be tested.

The crew member also briefly visited some other stores, and staff were asked to isolate themselves at home or get tested for symptoms, the ministry said earlier on Tuesday.
