The teenager, who won $ 3m as the first solo World Cup champion in Hortent, appeared armed police at his home.
Kyle Geersdorf was broadcast live Saturday at his home in Pennsylvania when he was "housed," a joke aimed at forcing Swat police and crews to respond to false emergencies.
Upper Potter's Chief Officer Albert Werner told the US Today, the caller told police "he was Kyle and said he shot his father multiple times."
Police called the home before entering, and the teen's father said everything was fine.
Mr Werner said the call came from outside the country.
Kyle, 16, told his fellow gamers that it was scary.
The false emergency call led to the death of a man in Kansas two years ago.
The caller was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
