Nuevo León reports 514 dengue cases [Estados] – October 11, 2015


Monterrey, Nuevo León.- In 2018, there were 514 dengue cases in Nuevo León, of which 300 are classical and 214 hemorrhagic for which the health authorities in this country have taken action to prevent this disease.

The head of the Nuevo Leon health department, Manuel de la O Cavazos, ran a fumigation campaign in the Dos Ríos district of Guadeloupe.

Antilarval and fumigation campaigns are also used to prevent the cases of Zik and Chikungunya.

The official visited the streets of the colony and explained to the neighbors the measures to prevent the spreading of the transmitting mosquito.

"We go from house to house to convince them and explain how important it is to keep their homes clean", De la O Cavazos, emphasizing at the same time the importance of washing, covering and turning containers with water that can become places for breeding mosquitoes.

He revealed that the cases of Zik, there was only one and chikungunya, none.

De la O Cavazos asked citizens to cooperate on preventive measures.
