Immunosuppression prevents premature childbirth Naseem News Quoting I believe in science We spread Immobilize immunization Prevent early childbirth, stopping vaccination prevents premature childbirth Spreading to our guests New message Today through our news with news and start with the most important news, braking inhibits premature births.
Naseem News Early births are the most common cause of death and disability in the United States, costing billions of dollars and sadness each year.
A report from researchers at the University of Connecticut in the field of reproductive science shows a potential medicine that can stop many premature births and restore normal life.
Hartford Hospital Obstetrician Christopher Nolde and Immunologist Anthony Villa are intrigued by the role of the immune system in premature birth.
Usually, the majority of pregnancies last about 40 weeks, so a child born before 37 weeks may be too small to regulate body temperature and can not breathe, in some cases may have bleeding in the brain or other organic problems, such as delayed growth and problems with knowledge and perception.
Only in this country about 337,000 children were born before their natural birth in 2016. For other mammals, early delivery was very rare and usually occurs in case of infection or inflammation.
Scientists knew cytokines – small proteins that warn the body against infection and cause inflammation – in the amniotic fluid of many premature babies. This makes them wonder if the fetus is completely different from the mother – it should be attacked by the mother's immune system, but there is something that will prevent him during pregnancy. And what if this protection will stop some women?
"There are many anti-inflammatory mechanisms that prevent immune fetal disinfection, so we thought that serious inflammation could break the barrier of endurance and start birth and premature delivery," says Villa.
So Nold and Villa took cells from the female reproductive organs and the amniotic fluid surrounding the embryos of the uterus and introduced them to parts of the bacteria in the laboratory, which resulted in the fact that the cells produced a lot of cytokines, as if shouting: "There is gas!"
However, cytokines were initially not a type of inflammation that scientists expected, and instead saw a large part of grazing and granulating colony-stimulating factors (GM-CSF), GM-CSF is a type of cytokine that very rapidly causes cell growth to become large follicular cells.
The concentration of peat in pregnant women increases immediately before birth, but it is not clear whether this is directly related to the birth or the side effect of another procedure.
Nold and Villa's discovery that the cytokine (GM-CSF) is released in response to a perceived bacterial infection is strange because of the presence of GM-CSF.
Treatment of pregnant mice with this drug Early birth has been significantly reduced in mice exposed to some dangerous bacteria, so if preventing premature birth is easy, it will inevitably change the rules of the game.
Nold and Villa introduced a temporary patent for this technique, but scientists first need to know if cytokine (GM-CSF) is the cause of premature birth of women, so Nold collects samples from some women in early pregnancy to see if there is anything. It can be detected early to determine the cause of premature delivery.
Nolde and Villa want to test cytokine samples (GM-CSF) and see if their high levels in early pregnancy are evidence of premature termination.
"We hope to conduct more research into the immune mechanism in rats and hope that we will look at human research in the near future," said Nold. "The Hartford hospital has already given them a small subsidy, and now they are looking for more funds to continue their research.
