Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Health, Hasan Hasbani, explained that "we have developed the" Health 2025 "strategy based on studies of the expected health situation in Lebanon by 2050 and developments around the world.
Hasbani in the interview with "Telem Lamier" stressed that the primary health centers are the cornerstone, which is more than a dispensary and less than a hospital provides essential treatments and tests that enhance the person's ability to treat his condition before getting worse.
"We are working hard to support and develop government hospitals and move some files on them to the central inspection and publish an electronic registry for cancer, which includes comprehensive information about the disease and where it is found, which facilitates our ability to find a remedy for that ".
"Increased awareness and prevention are very important in terms of health, better than 1,000 treatments and the breast cancer information campaign for which we are the best evidence, as many very large women were subjected to early tests." The recovery rate is 95%.
"Hasbani noted that" there is injustice to the right of many hospitals and what we have done we have introduced scientific standards and we have removed quotas through the distribution of financial ceilings according to a clear scientific mechanism. "He wished those who would receive the Ministry of Health after him for to ensure continuity.
"What we did did not remove what had existed before, and if I was not completely convinced, we believe in continuity," he said.
"We do not want to use the words achievements because they are duties, but active participation as deputy prime minister and minister of health in government was remarkable, and a clear plan for health was a qualitative leap, but we distributed it according to priorities."
He noted that "what we have achieved is the provision of favorable loans and long-term grants worth $ 150 million from the World Bank and the Islamic Fund and approved in the latest legislative sessions."
"We started building the healthcare infrastructure infrastructure through the resources we received now, and we will include primary health care centers and hospitals," he said, stressing that the health card is not in conflict with social security or with other guarantees.
He said: "There are multiple segments of society and they are very good, and there is no conflict with insurance companies, but they help the Lebanese people."
In connection with the drug, Hasbani asked: "In Lebanon we have more than 5,000 medications, so why are 20 drugs compared to Turkey?" The comparison is wrong. The industry's cost is low in Turkey, drugs are subsidized and the consumer market is much larger. Monetary teams also have an impact. "
"The comparison with Turkey is not allowed, food is cheaper than Lebanon, the Internet is cheaper, the water and electricity are cheaper, the issue of reducing the prices of medicines is a gradual process, because if we activate the mechanisms, we can suddenly create a terrible and harmful omission in sector ".
"We will announce in a few days the drug in Lebanon to be compared to 15 sources, 7 Arab countries and 7 foreign systems similar to our economic system and country of origin of medicine, and we are priced at the cheapest price."
"The free economy is a productive economy within the controls, and hospital tourism is very important in Lebanon, and this must be an investment and we have made many decisions to make these investments non-discriminatory and we must work sustainably to humanize the health sector" .
For the electricity crisis, Hasbani stressed that "we are dealing with the issue of electricity as the basis for financial solutions, because solving this problem can be a great saving of the treasury of the Lebanese state."
