The development of the market development concept of Vidzeme Riga Central Market AS will cost EUR 35,000, excluding value added tax, is indicated on the website of the Purchasing Monitoring Office.
In October, the Advisor to Colliers International won the announced tender.
The concept must be developed by the company within four months, but not later than on 28 February next year, as provided for in the contract. Both parties organize meetings of working groups at least twice a month.
Last year, Colliers International Advisors bought 2.49 million euros, with a profit of 1.13 million euros per year. The real beneficiaries in the company are the president of the board, Ēriks Bergmans, Deniss Kairans and Mihails Morozovs, according to information available to Lursoft.
The information available at the Procurement Monitoring Authority indicates that Colliers International Advisors analyzed the properties owned by the Latvian University in 2015, and in 2012 organized the sale of unpaved plots of the Real Estate Department of the City Council of Riga.
In turn, SIA GR Art & Print won a tender to develop the business plan of Vidzeme, concluding a contract with the Central Market in Riga worth EUR 15,000.
GR Art & Print in 2017 turned by 1.28 million euros, earning almost 15 thousand euros. The owner of the company is Evita Nihnidovič and deals in printed publications.
This year, GR Art & Print won several purchases, including printing of catalogs of the Latvian National Museum of Art, printing services of the University of Stradins in Riga and the right to provide trinket kits for emergency medical care.
It is said that the topic of the future of the Vidzeme market was updated in the summer at the Riga City Council. The mayors of the central market in Riga in May asked to invest a certain number of properties in the share capital of the company, but they did not accept the decision on rural development until the Rigana Central Market was able to present the idea of developing the Vidzeme market.
At present, the Vidzeme market is managed by the SIA Kaufmann Concepts, which was leased on the area until 31 December 2019. The "Riga Central Market" plan assumes finding a long-term tenant who would not invest in market development.
Artis Druvinieks, Chairman of the Central Market Board in Riga, said that it is necessary to maintain the market function by creating a place for cinema holidays and other public activities, but the abandoned door of the meat pavilion should be stored in "food court" stores and cafes.
