▶ Metabolism is active. Calorie consumption more
The best way to reduce weight is to change your diet into a low-carbohydrate diet, research suggests.
Even with a similar level of physical activity, a low carbohydrate diet increases calorie intake and increases the effect of diet on a carbohydrate-rich diet.
Researchers from the Children's Hospital in Boston reported on their findings in the British Medical Journal (BMJ), which was presented on Thursday (14), reported CNN and British Telegraph.
According to the researchers, 234 adults aged 18 to 65 participated in the study. During the first 10 weeks, 164 people who had at least a 10% reduction were classified as a low carb diet, high carbohydrate carbohydrate and carbohydrate intermediate carbohydrate for an additional 20 weeks.
In other words, their diet consisted of 20% carbohydrates, 20% protein, 60% fat, 60% carbohydrates, 20% protein, 20% fat, 40% carbohydrates, 40% fat and 20% protein.
The study showed that participants of a low carb diet were eating 209 to 287 kilocalories per day (kcal) more than their participants with a high carbohydrate content through active metabolism.
The researchers say that if this effect continues, a typical 30-year-old man will weigh about 10 kilograms three years later. Some experts, however, point out that it is too early to recommend such a diet.
