The Resolution on Sustainable Development led by Israel through Entrepreneurship was adopted in the Second United Nations Development Committee.
Through this resolution, the UN urges member states to support and provide tools for younger generations in order to find and create innovative solutions to global problems; promoting the inclusion of people with disabilities in the workplace; to help small and medium-sized businesses; promoting social entrepreneurship; to prevent discrimination on grounds of sex and more.
Arab countries constitute the main opposition to the proposed resolution. The Qatar official urged member states "not to support this resolution because Israel violates the rights of the Palestinians". The Austrian representative, speaking on behalf of the European Union, said: "Unfortunately, there is no consensus on the decision so important for political reasons."
Israel's UN Ambassador Danny Danon said: "Israeli entrepreneurship is not just an international example of innovation success but also a bridge between countries." The Israeli resolution places the values of Israeli entrepreneurship on the map and promotes global development "
