The launch of the LG Wing in India will take place today at a virtual event scheduled for 11.30am. The smartphone is the first within the company’s Explorer Project that aims to bring new usability concepts to market. Seen as one of the most uniquely designed smartphones for 2020, the LG Wing has two displays – one is a rotating screen that rotates clockwise 90 degrees. The LG Wing has already been introduced globally and was recently made available for purchase in South Korea.

LG India mocks the launch of the LG Wing through its social media channels. The price of the phone will probably be close to what was announced in the South Korean market recently. On its home lawn, the LG Wing is priced at KRW 1,098,900 (approximately Rs 71,400) for the basic 128 GB storage variant. The phone comes in two color options Aurora Gray and Illusion Sky. Dual SIM (Nano) LG Wing runs on Q OS, which is based on Android 10. The smartphone has a 6.8-inch full-HD + (1,080×2,460 pixels) primary P-OLED FullVision display. The secondary display measures 3.9 inches, and it has a full HD + (1,080×1,240 pixels) G-OLED panel. The LG Wing is powered by an eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC, along with 8 GB of RAM. Comes in 128 GB and 256 GB data storage options. The storage of both smartphones can be expanded up to 2TB via microSD card.
For photos and videos, the LG Wing features a triple rear camera mount that includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor with f / 1.8 lens. It is accompanied by a 13-megapixel secondary sensor with ultra-wide angle lens f / 1.9 and a third 12-megapixel sensor with ultra-wide angle lens f / 2.2. The camera setup is supported by a hex-motion stabilizer and works with a pre-loaded Gimbal Motion Camera option. For selfies and video calls, the LG Wing has a 32-megapixel selfie camera sensor with a pop-up module.
The LG Wing has a screen fingerprint sensor. The phone has a 4,000mAh battery that supports fast charging 4.0+ 25W fast charging and 10W wireless charging. Connectivity options for the LG Wing include 5G, 4G LTE-A, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS / A-GPS and a USB Type-C port.
