The professor mentioned this in her attempt to find a home met in Santorini cases of profit.
As the teacher wrote on Twitter, she turned to a real estate agency to find a home near the school she was supposed to teach. According to her, for a 40sqm home equipped with wi-fi and asked to rent it for 1,500 euros.
"I have to ask a real estate agent in Santorini near the school. And she tells me that I have forty square meters, with internet, climate, equipped. Well, I didn't think of 400. NOT 1500 euros per month. I'm sorry, but because of your profanity your children are left without teachers », it was a job that went viral and triggered the intervention of the education minister.
"We have been in contact since the beginning of the period with municipal authorities, especially in areas of high tourism activity, given the difficulty of finding housing in sensible economic contexts."Ms Kerameos replied, then added:
"I have just spoken to the Mayor of Santorini and 1) you will be given a special allowance, reinforced until last year, for alternatives for this purpose, and 2) you are being asked by the Association of Parents and Guardians to find housing."
