With the “weapons” already available, but also new digital tools, the competent ministries and electronic services join forces, with a common goal when the first doses of long-awaited vaccines arrive in our country to start vaccinations at a very fast pace.
The intangible prescription, which has provided a solution to more than 800,000 people with chronic diseases – who receive the required prescription for their drugs electronically, thus avoiding doctor visits in the midst of a pandemic – is the communication “channel” in which the government invests the most.
“Those who have already registered in an intangible prescription will automatically receive an e-mail and a message on their mobile phone, for vaccination at the nearest vaccination center at a certain day and time. If you click on the “accept” option, the meeting will be registered. Therefore, the request is that as many citizens as possible register on gov.gr, because in this way the process will be automatic “, underlines” NEA “Marios Themistocleous, Secretary General of Primary Health Care of the Ministry of Health.
And as the intangible prescription is expected to serve as a. Digital express route for vaccination scheduling, Themistocles is urging citizens – and especially the younger ones who are usually familiar with new technologies – to start registering with emphasis first. older household members.
Given that IDIKA (electronic transcription system) is an updated “database” for patients with chronic diseases, it is possible to immediately identify and inform those citizens who will be vaccinated as a priority.
At the same time, however, a second electronic platform is being launched, which by design will be open to the public at the e-mail address “emvolia.gov.gr”, which is another key communication link.
“By registering with AMKA, one will be able to determine whether one belongs to the vaccinated groups as a priority in the specific time period and whether one meets the appointment criteria,” he explained.
The third way would be for the special call center, with Themistocles to note that no citizen should be excluded from the communication channel and, consequently, from the right to be vaccinated, which will provide individual and collective protection from SARS-CoV-2 .
In any case, the preparations are feverish, as the Minister of Health Vassilis Kikilias pointed out, the next day after the reception, vaccinations will start in 1,018 vaccination centers that will work six days a week (except Sunday) in two shifts, in seven Health regions of the country that covers all the needs of the population.
In particular, the first 500,000 – 1,000,000 installments are expected to cross the border of our country at the end of December or the beginning of January. This is because the European Medicines Agency (Coreper) has announced that it will have an opinion by the 29th of the month on the licensing of the Pfizer / BioTech vaccine, so the final delivery date depends on when the Agency goes green. light
At the same time, and as European sources pointed out in response to allegations of possible delays in the midst of a strong second wave, the Agency is following swift action without members of the assessment committee yielding to “discounts”, stressing that the safety of Europeans is paramount. citizens.
Trust in vaccines is, however, another crucial bet for the governments of the Old Continent, with those responsible in our country preparing a dynamic information campaign that will answer all questions and doubts.
In this context, and according to the information, scientists who know the subject in depth, politicians and influential people in the public who are excellent in various fields will unite their voices in order to bend the resistance. It is reminded that, in addition, in order to build a “herd of immunity” it is necessary to vaccinate at least 60% of the population.
And as time goes on, as everything shows, and vice versa, next week will begin the training of more than 2,000 nurses and health workers who will employ hundreds of vaccination centers.
As Themistocles explains, this is in any case experienced medical staff, who will be informed mainly about the… peculiarities of the new vaccines in terms of their storage and use, adding that in each center there will always be a doctor who will supervise the procedure.
