Facebook adopts a camera-based messenger called Themes from Instagram. Through this app, Instagram users should be able to share photos, videos and text messages with contacts from their "close friends" list, explains Instagram's product manager Robbie Stein. The app is already available on Google Play and Apple's App Store. Instagram is part of the Facebook group.
"Close Friends" is a feature found on Instagram last year. Lets you define a short circle of contacts and share only certain content with them. To add contacts to this list, you don't have to go into the Instagram app settings – it should now also be in the new Themes app. Content you share with close friends should also be featured in regular Instagram and Messenger apps.
