Christmas Time – A Time of Reconciliation? Not with the British Royals …
The first rumors are, it is now clear: Prince Harry, 35, Megan, 38, and Baby Archie will NOT spend Christmas at Queen's in Sandringham. This is what Buckingham Palace has confirmed.
This puts the Duke and Duchess of Sussex through a long tradition: Harry has always been with his grandparents during the holidays, except during his 2012 visit to Afghanistan. Megan has also been accompanying him to his Norfolk home for the past two years.
Someone else should be happy about the news: Megan's mother, Doria Ragland, 63. Because with her, Harry, Megan and Archie spend their holidays, probably in their hometown of Los Angeles.
On Monday, Harry and Megan are on a six-week break. For Thanksgiving on November 28, the royal couple flies to the United States.
Strict dress code, ious curious rituals and a fixed daily routine with Queen Manor – all this will save Harry and Megan this year.
The couple's spokeswoman said the queen understands the couple is resting. Ingrid Seward, author of several books on the royal family, told The Sun: "The Queen may be slightly hurt, but she's too proud to ever show or speak this."
Prince William (37) and Duchess Kate (37) will spend Christmas with their children George (6), Charlotte (4) and Louis (1) with Queen and Prince Philip (98). This again confirms that the brothers are "in different ways," as Harry recently said.
Megan in particular should make this break well: After Excitement from past weeks she can celebrate her first Christmas with her mother in two years.
