The result is a product that actually tastes like Whopper but comes without meat. Like the classic Whopper, the Rebel Whopper is also ready for open flames.
"This is how we guarantee the taste of grill on the flame," says press officer Temps. Not only does he want to actively engage vegetarians with the product, but also meat eaters who want to reduce meat consumption and look for an alternative.
What's in the new burger?
The new herbal super Whopper should cost as much as the classic Whopper, be available as a menu and is firmly embedded in the range. Buyers will find the new product from November 12 all over Germany at all (participating) Burger King stores. "We keep up with current trends and change our eating habits," explains Klaus Schumling, Marketing Director at Burger King Deutschland GmbH.
The rebel one consists of soy based, tomatoes, lettuce, mayonnaise, ketchup, onions and slices of cucumbers. The ingredients are in the middle of a roasted sesame soup.
