Beaten Milka, Lindt and Ritter Sport: This is the best chocolate

Whether it is dark, white, with nuts or just sweet: many people appreciate chocolate as a sinful delicacy. Getting to the candy bar is usually based on the motto: What you know ends up in the cart. But there are many delicious and equally inexpensive alternatives to chocolate hidden on the shelf, as shown by the large Stiftung Warentest test.

The experts examined a total of 24 bars of chocolate. Attention was paid to the taste, appearance and consistency of the chocolate. Chocolates are also tested for microbes, bacteria and harmful substances in the laboratory. Here it is: branded products are not always the best.

Because besides the top dogs Milka, Ritter Sport and Lindt, there are also lesser known manufacturers that are even better than chocolate in size. The best: The winner of the big chocolate test from Stiftung Warentest costs just one euro per 100 g, and even wins points with a Fairtrade stamp and a guarantee of planting a tree in Mexico for every five bars sold. Here you can celebrate without a guilty conscience.
