But it wasn't until this weekend that Lauren Bushnell and Chris Lane celebrated their engagement with family and friends.
The Bachelor alum, 29, and country music singer, 34, shared images on social media Sunday of their party at a farm-themed event venue in Kernersville, North Carolina.

In her Instagram caption, Bushnell wrote: 'Got to celebrate Chris' hometown all weekend long with our family, friends, and dogs.'
'At one point I even looked at Chris and said' I wish we were just getting married tonight! ' she added.
Lane also shared a pic on her Instagram and gushed: 'It's been an incredible year in my career as well as my personal life … Took the weekend off to celebrate our engagement in Kernersville with both of our families !! A lucky lucky man! '

Bushnell revealed that it was Lane's mom who had done all the engagement party planning and prep.
Joining the celebration were Lane's twin brother Cory and Bushnell's younger sister Mollie.
The musician proposed to the reality star after less than a year of dating. They have not publicly announced a date for their wedding.
Bushnell found fame as the recipient of The Bachelor Ben Higgins' final rose on the ABC reality show in 2016.
She accepted his proposal and the two went onto star int heir own spin-off Ben And Lauren: Happily Ever After?
The relationship didn't last though and they announced their split in May 2017.
