Rania Al-Mashat, the Egyptian Tourism Minister, opened Wednesday the Albatros Aqua Vista Resort in Hurghada, the first sports center in Egypt and Africa.
The ceremony was attended by many sports stars, led by Hassan Hamdi, former head of Al Ahli club.
The Albatros for Business Foundation and the former president of the Al-Masri Al-Bursaidi club, Kamel Abu Ali, have 326 rooms equipped with sports missions from Egypt and abroad, as well as Olympic swimming pools and many other places.
Investments in the first Egyptian sports center are 400 million LE.
Mamdouh al-Shishtawi, executive director of the Egyptian Olympic Committee, praised Egypt's approach to sports tourism, indicating that the center will provide sport federations with huge expenses to equip their teams with their foreign camps.
