The new branding campaign for Dolce & Gabbana has been restored by China. The Chinese did not appreciate much on social networks to tighten their national stereotypes and clips from the famous brand as racist. The company, even on the basis of a wave of protests, had to cancel the planned fashion show.
In a series of three fashion clips, a Chinese woman dressed in cloaks is snapping, and in vain trying to eat pizza or spaghetti with Chinese sticks.
The essential, innocent combination of Chinese and Italian culture, however, has caused many social networking kineses to oppose the campaign as mockery. Dozens of local residents then called for a boycott of fashion shows and brand products. For example, a popular Chinese film actress, Zhang Qi-i, known for the movie Tiger and Dragon or Geisha, said she would no longer cooperate with her, and her clothes would stop buying.
The videos come from the DG Loves China campaign, which had an Italian brand to pave the way to the Middle Reich market. However, due to unexpected criticism and boycott, organizers even had to cancel a fashion show in Shanghai about an hour before the start.
Dolce and Gabana later said that moving on Wednesday show to another term, but the company did not specify any reason. The company then publicly apologized for the poor reception of clips and assured that it "respects China".
However, the case began to be reversed, when the instagram account of the Italian brand co-founder, Stefan Gabana, began to appear strongly racist at the expense of the Chinese. According to the firm, however, the attack by hackers attacked the designer's personal profile.
