South Moravia – Three dead and five hundred people died behind the jaundice that hit southern Moravia last year. Now, experts in the unclean hands again warn. According to them, the rate of vacancies is decreasing.

This year, regional health authorities reported twelve cases of jaundice type A. "It's not an epidemic, they all came from abroad, but the risk of returning the epidemic is very high," said Renata Chipek, the director of the epidemic's outpatient department.
The situation can very quickly exacerbate the low coverage of the population. "Most people do not have antibodies to improve their standard of living and hygiene against jaundice," says Peter Husha, head of the Clinic for Infectious Diseases at the University Hospital in Brno.
In the upcoming Christmas markets, the risk of infection may be greater due to eating outdoors. Therefore, prevention is important. "The main thing is vaccination and strict hygiene," Husa said.
Hepatitis B is also dangerous, portable in unprotected sex. Even people underestimate it. "In the past five years, infant immunization has dropped drastically. Earlier, it was almost 100%, now less than eighty percent," Hus said.
Against hepatitis C, which is particularly prevalent among drug addicts, vaccination is still not available.
