The National Institute of Statistics (INE) published the National Employment Survey (ENE) for the mobile quarter from September to November 2018, which registered the national unemployment rate of 6.8%, which is 0.3 percentage points more than the same period of the previous year. But it was 0.3 pp. lower than the previous quarter of August-September-October.
The unemployed increased by 6.7%, explained by the unemployed (4.7%) and by job seekers for the first time (25.1%).
Compared with the previous quarter, seasonally adjusted unemployment rate has not changed, it is 7.1%, informs INE.
By the employees in the registered period, they grew by 0.5% in 12 months, which is equivalent to 42,149 persons. Public servants (2.8%) and private employees (0.5%) are the categories that most affected the expansion of the unemployed.
The annual growth of the employees was influenced by those who usually worked 45 hours a week (1.5%), and half of the employees (2.1%), led by the second of those who volunteered in that modality 4.1%).
