Some of the leading smartphone manufacturers have saved their sleeve by the end of 2018, if the year was no longer enough phones and news. If we repeat some suggestive the other day teaser from Huawei, is now Lenovo that promises news for the month that begins tomorrow, showing us Lenovo mobile phone with a hole on the screen.
First we pointed out the following year as the year of perforated screens (to see that the front camera is floating and does not have to resort to a scraper for scratching a millimeter frame for the screen). But if Lenovo finally came forward, either Samsung or Huawei done, it seems next December we will begin to see these designs already functional.
Hole, triple camera and 5G
Lenovo's first chapter was Huawei's style, with an official poster that came to Weibo (and Gizmochina) suggests that a mobile phone with a boring screen will soon appear. In this case it is the Lenovo Z5, whose exact date of submission has not yet been confirmed, but they have advanced that it will be this month of December.
This coincides with some leaks we've already seen on a Lenovo mobile phone with a borderless bezel and a hole in the center. In this way, the manufacturer would decide symmetrical design not drilling on the page that made us see Huawei with what should be the New 4 or what Samsung seems to indicate on the Samsung Galaxy A8, which we saw a few days ago.
Some specifications leak from the Lenovo Z5 thanks to information leaking when passing through the TENAA Certification. What we saw is that it will be the first smartphone with puppy 8150 or 855 (which is the next high Qualcomm processor), which has some extra relevance, as it is likely to support the 5G network and will fit into what Chang Chang, vice president of Lenovo, said in the summer (also denying that this mobile phone is Lenovo Z20 Pro, because the new model would be Lenovo Z5).
In addition to the CPU, what TENAA can see is that it will be a mobile phone with triple back camera and LED flash, which according to the filtered images will be integrated into a design similar to the Huawei P20 Pro. The screen will be a 6.3-inch panel, a rear-print reader (and not integrated on the screen) and a 3.218 mAh battery, all within the chassis of 156.7 x 74.5 x 7.8 mm.
December promises a lot of hole
Although posters speak only for December, as we have said, from gossip techie we are talking about a specific date: on December 4th. Life Cases (or not) is the expected date for you to know the new Qualcomm processor that we mentioned about this Lenovo Z5 so it could be a kind of dual login in some way. One day after I learned more about Huawei's proposal, which promised to give more information on the 3rd day (that is, an interesting week is expecting us).
Currently, Huawei, Samsung and Lenovo, who seem to at least taste this hole design, we are already beginning to look at with certain patents. On the other hand, there are options already shown to us by Xiaomi with Mi Mi MIX 3 and its sliding screen, OPPO and FindX with its removable module or Live with NEX with a similar proposal whose iteration would obviously decide for another course, implement a dual screen and suppress the front camera.
Will we see mobile phones with a hole in the screen next week? Will all these designs be practical? Prepare popcorn, gentlemen, this becomes all the more interesting.
